Best ever....
I am not ashamed to admit that I watch "The Bachelor." Yep, it is totally silly and pretty mindless, but sometimes mindless tv is good. Right?
I heard the best quote the other night:
"On a scale from one to ten, I feel like I am going to barf!"
(one of the ladies trying to win Ben's heart)
Ah, what the??

12 years
12 years ago, my mom passed away. I miss her.
So, I thought that I would share a funny story about her. (please forgive the swears...it totally adds to the story)
In my house, growing up, we had a rule: If you see a cat barf, you are the one to clean it up.
Well, I did and then I didn't. My step-dad had this old Siamese cat. She was mean and really only liked my mom. On Christmas Eve many many years ago, I saw this particular cat barf all over the basement floor. I am not going to lie, cleaning that stuff up is Nasty, so I wanted no part of it. I climbed the stairs to our kitchen, shut the door, and proceeded to forget about it. My siblings and I were frosting sugar cookies. My mom had a mason jar that she decided to put down in our fruit room. She heads down the stairs and a few moments later we hear, "Son of a Bitch I am sliding in shit!" Giggles were suppressed as we heard this sweet cry for help. We just continued on with the frosting. To this day, this story is a family favorite for a few reasons. A. it's funny when your mom yells out swear words. B. She wasn't sliding in poo, but barf....not sure which is worse. C. None of us did anything to help (as I recall). Hey, sugar cookies needed to be frosted! D. I don't think I have ever fessed up to her that I did see the barf culprit and walked on as if I hadn't. Poor Kaye, pretty sure when we all get to the other side she is going to be a tad bit upset for retelling this funny stories about her. But then, isn't that what kids are supposed to do? Parents embarrass their kids and when the parents get older, the kids return the favor by retelling funny stories. It all seems fair to me.
I LOVE YOU, MOM!! xoxoxo

Goals for 2012

I work with this 20 year old kid that has Autism. I adore him. On Tuesday, I had him write down some of his goals for 2012. I wish mine were this easy. I would probably have them accomplished by now.
* Go to the D.I
*Only use nice words
*Not hit people on the head with movies
*Not rip other's shirts.
(the last two are directed at me..he will not hit me and not rip my shirt, which he has done.)
Done and Done!

Some thoughts.....
1. Why is it that Tom Cruise drives me crazy when I see him being interviewed, but put him in an action movie and I am totally attracted to him?
2. I could possibly have Bieber Fever....if Iwere 16 years old. I watched the vid of the Biebs with Mariah Carey and I found myself thinking, "Hmmm...He is kind of a cute little fella." I then had a dream that he confessed he was a Mormon. It could totally happen.
3. What is the purpose of fruitcake? I have always been confused by it's existence. My mom would make it and hand it out. Who eats it?
4. Like a moron, I broke my phone, so I got a new one. It's a touchscreen (the upgrade was free) and I feel like a major grandma trying to text and navigate around this new fancy phone. Sigh....i miss my old phone.
5. I went to donate plasma today and got rejected. There is nothing worse than getting rejected for having low iron. Seriously, iron was my downfall. My liver consumption is going to drastically increase.
6. I wish that cute fellas wouldn't make awesome Christmas cds for me if they really aren't interested or if they are interested, they would call.
7. I wish a certain cute fella would call a certain gorgeous gal up and ask her out. Nope, I ain't talking about me.
8. Check out Kid History on youtube, but make sure your bladder is empty or you will wet yourself. Consider yourself warned.
9. I wish that I didn't stress so much about money and my weight and other dumb stuff, but that I only thought about unicorns, rainbows, and kitties. Boy,that would make my life a lot more pleasant.
10. A kid, sitting next to me at the library, is freaking out over some computer game. I mean, he has the waving arms and silent yelling thing down. It must be a pretty exciting game.

Rude Kids :)
Here is a recent conversation I had with two of my nieces.
Setting: my bathroom.
I was putting my makeup on for the day.
Boo: Wow, Megan, you look really tired.
Bug: It's not that she looks tired. It's those little tiny wrinkles around her eyes.
Me: Alright! Everyone out of the bathroom.
I am getting old, aren't I?

If you are looking at this picture and thinking to yourself, "Megan got in another bar fight!" Have heart. I didn't. I have been doing my civic duty and donating plasma twice a week. Well, last friday, the person that stuck the needle in my arm either scratched the vein or it didn't go in all the way. Either way, when the blood was returning back, my arm started hurting....like "I think my skin is going to burst" hurting. The machine started beeping and someone came over to check on me. I said, "Um, this is hurting!" And she told me that my vein had been infiltrated, which means that the blood was not going back into me vein, but just hanging out. Whatever. I couldn't finish my donation, only got $10 (it's usually my $30 day), and ended up with some pretty gnarly bruises. All for the sake of helping out mankind. Man, am I a saint or what?please excuse the poor quality of the pic. It was taken on my phone.
