Every year, I go to the cemetary where my parent's are buried. They have a special little program to honor those that have served our country. My favorite part is when they play the different songs for each branch in the military. It's cool to see the people stand up when their song is being played. It makes me think of my dad and my grandpas. I pay respect to those who fought for our freedom long ago and today. God Bless You!
Also, It makes me so grateful for the Savior, that death is not the end of this life and that those who have left us aren't gone forever. We will one day have a glorious reunion. And it will be glorious!
Happy Memorial Day!!

My roomies and I would often watch Homestarrunner at the end of the day. It always makes me laugh. Enjoy!
There are plenty more to choose from, too!

Things I have learned from my hairdresser.
I have been going to my wonderful hairdresser, Jeremy, for over 5 years now. Jeremy not only makes me look absolutely fab, but we have some pretty wild conversations. So, here is a list of some of the things that he has taught me over the years.
1. Every girl should own red lipstick, fishnet tights, and a feather boa
2. You should have three things that you like about yourself.
3. A good haircut makes a world of difference.
4. Do NOT use store bought shampoos and conditioners. He wagged his finger at me when I confessed that I had. I don't anymore.
5. If a guy is straight he will try to touch your boobs. He is gay if he doesn't try.
6. Therapy is never a bad thing.
7. Change is good
8. Butts with a little bit of umph to them are not bad
9. I am beautiful
10. GLEE is an amazing show.
11. Singing can chase the grey clouds away. Jeremy has a beautiful voice.
12. Olivia Newton John is the ultimate goddess
13. EMBRACE YOUR UNIQUENESS!!
Thanks Jer for the many great conversations, the words of wisdom, making me feel beautiful...inside and out. I adore you!

You know why!
As a little girl if a boy ever made me mad or hurt my feelings, I would kick them "where the sun don't shine!"

Autism Walk....rain or shine! And it was rain.
I adore this kid! I walked for him and for all of the other kiddos that I have had the privilege of teaching and interacting with. I don't just like Ike..I love him!
My nephews and niece. I am glad they joined me. They were troopers and I love them.

The starting line.
So, It wasn't the best day for the walk, but doesn't this seem to summarize life with a kid with Autism? Some days are beautiful and sunny and other days just seem downright rainy and dreary. I truly admire all of these amazing families. I can't express how much I love my students and how blessed I feel that I get to daily interact with this special kids. What a great way to start a day! Join me next year.
