So, I few nights ago I watched this cute movie (again) called "My Date with Drew". It's about an average kind of guy wanting to fulfill his fantasy and meet Drew Barrymore. I won't tell you all the details, but he does end up succeeding....yay, for us "average folk" Well, that got me to thinking. If this guy can have his date with Drew, then can I have a date with this guy?

I could call it "MY DATE WITH DWAYNE!" (How cute would that be?)

So, If anyone knows someone that is connected to The Rock...well, hook a sister up!

Something must be in the water....

Or maybe having strep this week has caused me to have such crazy dreams. Here was last nights. I was at a hotel with my two sisters. I was in the bedroom with them and I was getting ready to go babysit for one of my respite families. I opened the door, looked out and what is sitting there, but a huge LION!! What the heck? Why is a lion in my dream and what is this lion doing sitting in my hotel room? I quickly closed the door and said to my sisters, "I can't go out there. There is a lion out there." It wasn't growling or anything...just hanging out, as lions often do. I said to my sisters, "I am going to be late for babysitting!" But,then I remembered that it was a dream, so I willed my clock to turn back an hour. It's cool how you can do fun stuff like that in your dreams. I wish that were the case with reality. That is all I remember. I am sure my wonderful alarm woke me up before I found out if I got devoured by the lion or just walked on by all casually....and not looking like dinner!

And, another funny story. I got flipped off by some old dude. I guess he didn't like the way I was driving, but isn't that awesome?!!

Dreams and other randoms things.....

<

So, I got an email telling me that registration for the St. George Marathon is in 40 days. I am thinking about it. Apparently, so is my subconscious because I had a crazy dream about it. I dreamt that I was running in the marathon and my time was a wonderful 3 hours and 20 minutes. Ok, so that would be a small miracle if I was able to shave off almost 3 hours from my previous time. I remember in my dream thinking, "Wow, that wasn't so bad and I ran it in only 3:20." Hey, Miracles do happen.

Just like this one..

(Ok, so this was from the first miracle pregnancy!) If I have to hear one more time about Celine and her so called "miracle baby" I may just vomit all over my shoes. Geesh. I did get sucked into buying the most recent edition of People magazine, but it was because I was really interested in reading about Jennifer Aniston's 41st birthday....honest! And, do you just love the picture of Blossom? Man, I loved that show.

weekend fun...

The top 10 list of why this past weekend was super duper fun:

10. A cowboy and indian snowman. A few of the girls started the snowman and our next door neighbors went all out to finish it. The cowboy had a lasso around the Indian. It was awesome!

9. Hanging out in a cabin overlooking the beautiful Bear Lake

8. eating lots of really delicious and bad for you kinds of food

7. a huge jetted tub

6. getting shushed by a lady in church

5. pink crepes for Sunday breakfast

4. laughing so hard

3. snowshoeing....it was so much fun! I laughed, I sang, I made snow angels and did somersaults

2. Chocolate Festival....aka Relief Society ladies and their crafts. I got some cute flowers for my hair.

1. Hanging out with some pretty fab ladies for valentine's day. I made several new friends. We laughed the whole time and just had an amazing time. I can't wait to go again!

Things that make me happy part 2

I get to hang out with both of these cute boys tomorrow. They make me so happy I could squish them...oh wait, I do!
Who is Doubting Mike? I had someone leave a not so nice comment on one of my posts and I have no idea who it is. If you don't like what I am writing on my blog, then don't read it. Simple as that.

Things that make me happy....

1. I had a meeting with two of my student's parents today. The one only speaks Spanish and kept saying over and over again, "Thank you, Megan!" It was so sweet and totally made my day! The other one asked if she could put in a recommendation for me to be her child's teacher again. I loved it.

2. I had a random conversation with a girl while getting pizza at Little Ceasar's. She told me that she was working out with a personal trainer at Gold's, but she was getting pizza because she, "felt like crap, had her underwear up her butt, and her hair looked horrible." Love conversations like that.

3. The Priesthood. How is it that Heavenly Father knows what I am thinking about? It just amazes me and brings me the peace that I need.

4. Girls weekend away in Bear Lake. It is going to be so much fun. Two words...Chocolate Festival!

5. When I got back from class, I walked into my room and C ran across the room yelling, "Megan, you are back!" He then gave me a huge hug.

6. Hugs from my nieces and nephews.

7. Spring-like weather

8. Riding around on a scooter at recess. Some of my students thought it was about the coolest thing they have ever seen.

9. When I asked A (student from last year) what she was doing on the ground, she replied, "I am giving my heart a rest!" Uh-ok.

10. The cool new blue streak in my hair. I love it.

Guess who is going to NYC to see these Norweigen lovelies with her sista? Yep, it's ME!!! I first saw A-ha when I was 12. It was my very first concert. Isn't that totally cool? I can't wait to see them again. It will be so much freakin' fun!

The Worst EVER........

Dude at Potluck: Hi. My name is Richard.

Me: Hi. My name is Megan.

Richard: I think I have seen you before.

Me: Oh, well I come to these things a lot, so you may have seen me here.

Richard puts his finger to his mouth and looks off pensively.

I stand there thinking, "what an oddball."

Richard: I know where I have seen you before (and here it comes....the worst ever!!), on the cover of a book about angels.

Me: Awkward laugh.

Seriously, I wanted to vomit in my purse. What was he thinking?

Reason #49 why Savers rocks my socks......

Check out these sweet vintage shoes that I found at Savers. They cost me a whoppin' $16 for both pairs. And, this is why Savers rocks my socks. (sorry the pics are blurry!)
