On Tuesday, I turned on the TV to watch a rerun of Glee, but then realized the State of the Union was on. I am a bit embarrassed to admit, but I don't think I have ever actually watched an entire State of the Union. So, I decided to stick it out (ok, I did go between this and Wheel of Fortune...not gonna lie!). I thought it was pretty good. I am not a huge Obama fan, but that man knows how to give speeches. Seriously. But, I must say the best part of the entire speech was when they panned the audience and there in the middle sat this guy.....
STUART SMALLEY!!!Who knew that all those daily affirmations led Stuart to do some great things...like Congress?! Ok, So he wasn't dressed in a super blonde, a bit better than Donald Trump hairdo and a sweater I once wore in the 80's. But, there he sat.
I think the speech would have been so much better if Obama would have ended with, "My Fellow Americans, I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And doggone it, people like me!"
If only.....
