Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my mom's 69th birthday. What an old lady!

My mom was pretty funny. She did and said some funny things...sometimes they weren't meant to be funny, but they were.

One that I LOVE actually happened during the holidays. We had a rule in our house that whomever saw a cat barf, had to clean it up. Well, I had seen one of our cats barf and I did not want to clean it up. Blech. So, I just left it there for one unsuspecting person aka mom.
My mom was putting away some jars in our fruit room and headed downstairs. Well, she came across the barf, but not before she started sliding in it. Her adoring children were upstairs frosting cookies when we suddenly heard this, " Son of a b*#@!%, I am sliding in s*#!" Um, it was pretty much one of the funniest things EVER!!

Of course, there are many, many more stories about her. She wasn't perfect, but she taught us some great things. And, if I do say so myself, I think we all turned out pretty well.

I hope she gets a moment to celebrate her life and maybe eat some cake...if they have it in heaven. (which they totally should). I miss her and love her tons!

xoxoxo

p.s I found this photo while cleaning out some stuff. Isn't it pretty sweet? This is my mom and her siblings. My mom is the one with the big hair. (ok, she is the one on the left)
